About these terms
Photonica is operated by PE Lipatov Vladislav Pyotr, a sole proprietor registered in Armenia (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to the Photonica website and photo editor. By using Photonica, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service. You must have legal capacity to accept these terms, or use the service with the permission of a parent or guardian where the law allows.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. Our Refund Policy explains refunds and cancellation for purchases when subscription sales become available.
Using the editor
Photonica processes photographs locally in your browser. Editing and standard JPEG export are free, with the working image limited to 2560 pixels on its longest side before cropping. Original-resolution export is a subscription feature, subject to your device’s graphics and memory limits. Subscription sales are not open yet.
Editing requires WebGPU and an internet connection to load the application. Installing the web app does not remove these requirements. Try the free editor on your device before purchasing a subscription when sales open.
Keep your original files and export any work you want to retain. Photonica does not provide photo backup: the open photograph and edit history are not restored after closing or reloading the tab. Film looks are creative interpretations, and results may vary with your photograph, settings, and device.
Your photos and rights
You retain your rights to the photographs you open, the images you export, and the original content you create. You may use your exported photographs for personal or commercial purposes, provided you have the necessary rights. You are responsible for obtaining permission to use photographs and for respecting other people’s copyright, privacy, and other rights.
We give you a non-exclusive right to use Photonica for its intended purpose under these terms. The application, branding, and supplied assets remain the property of their respective owners. This permission does not allow you to resell the application or redistribute its supplied assets as your own. Separate third-party licenses continue to apply to the material they cover.
Accounts and acceptable use
You can edit without an account. An optional account lets you save personal presets. Keep your sign-in details secure and your email address current. Contact us if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.
Do not use Photonica unlawfully, interfere with its operation, access another person’s account, bypass paid-access checks, or attempt to compromise the service. We may restrict an account when reasonably necessary to address abuse, a security risk, or a material breach of these terms. Where practical and lawful, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve it. This does not remove any mandatory consumer rights.
Subscriptions and payments
When sales open, Paddle will act as merchant of record and authorised reseller for purchases. Your purchase will also be subject to the Paddle Buyer Terms presented at checkout. We provide and support the editor; Paddle handles payment and billing.
The price, billing interval, applicable taxes, and included paid features will be shown before you buy. A recurring subscription renews on the terms shown at checkout until cancelled. You can cancel through the link in your Paddle purchase email or through Paddle buyer support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and stops future renewals.
Cancellation and a refund are separate requests; see our Refund Policy. Deleting the app or your Photonica account is not a subscription cancellation request. Cancel the subscription through Paddle before deleting your account. Mandatory rights and the purchase terms applicable to your transaction take precedence over conflicting provisions here.
Availability and responsibility
We aim to keep Photonica available and working as described, but cannot promise uninterrupted access or compatibility with every browser and device. Updates, maintenance, and third-party outages may affect availability. If a paid feature does not work as described, contact us for help and consult our Refund Policy.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by your misuse of the service or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including your mandatory rights concerning faulty or misdescribed services.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as Photonica changes. We will update the date on this page and give notice of material changes where required. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights relating to an existing purchase.
These terms are governed by the laws of Armenia, subject to any mandatory consumer protections and rights to bring claims in your country of residence. Paddle purchases are also governed by the applicable Paddle Buyer Terms.
